Restriction on Hosted by 3CX

In order to guarantee the operation of our hosted instances, there are some rules and restrictions in place.


  • You must use:
    • Supported SIP Trunks which are certified by 3CX
    • Supported IP Phones on default provisioning templates
    • Must connect IP Phones via the 3CX SBC or use 3CX APPs instead*
  • You do not have access to:
    • Network Settings
    • Instance Manager (enabled by default)
    • Parameter table
    • License Key Tab (and replace license key function)
    • Web-terminal from the dashboard  
    • Console Restrictions on Security Settings  
  • You cannot change:
    • Recording quota
    • Recording local path
    • Voicemail quota
  • Other things you can not have :
    • Perpetual Licenses
    • SSH Access
    • Custom FQDNs
    • Custom IP-phone Templates  
    • Call Flow Designer (CFD)
    • Scriptable IVRs
    • HA Configuration / Failover
    • Fidelio / Mitel SX200 for Hotel Integration 
    • CDR Logs via Passive Socket mode
*3CX recommends remote office users use 3CX APPs (Android, iOS, and Windows) or the 3CX WebAPPs (WebClient and Browser Extension).  For offices with IP-Phones, the use of the 3CX SBC is mandatory!
